Silicone rubber is a rubber whose main chain is composed of silicon and oxygen atoms alternately, and two organic groups are usually connected to the silicon atom. This structure makes silicone rubber a typical semi-organic and semi-inorganic polymer with both inorganic and organic properties.
Silicone rubber has good low temperature resistance and can generally work at -55°C, and can reach -73°C after the introduction of phenyl. At the same time, the heat resistance of silicone rubber is also very prominent, at 180 ℃ can work for a long time, slightly higher than 200 ℃ can withstand weeks or longer, instantaneous resistance to high temperatures above 300 ℃.
